Louisiana AGC, AIA of Louisiana, ACEC of Louisiana, and LAPA are co-hosting the 4th Annual Critical Issues Summit, which will bring together local leaders and experts to discuss emerging issues in the construction industry. The Summit will be held January 26 - 27 at the Marriott at the Convention Center, New Orleans. Partner Russel W. Wray will moderate a panel discussion of recent developments in construction law. Wray & Pierce proudly sponsored the One Man Can Make a Difference Sporting Clays Fundraiser for Prostate Cancer Research and Awareness, held on September 24, 2011. Attorneys Russ Wray and Lani Durio volunteered at the event, which raised over $230,000 for the Tulane Cancer Center.

Wray & Pierce Associate Sallie DuPont chaired the Baton Rouge Bar Association Volunteer Committee's 13th Annual Fall Food Drive, benefitting the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. The event was a success: with over 14 barrels of canned goods collected, the Baton Rouge Bar Association donated 1,367 pounds of food!

Nineteenth JDC finds that affiliated company is ineligible to bid under La. Standard Specification Section 102.08(g):
  • Nineteenth JDC Judge Todd Hernandez has found that a bidder affiliated with a company declared ineligible to bid under the DBE regulations should have been rejected under Louisiana Standard Specifications for Roads and Bridges Section 102.08(g).
