Russel W. Wray, born on July 20, 1959, is the son of Bill and Betty Wray. In 1981 Russ earned a B.A. with honors in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, and in 1984 a Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University. Russ was an associate with Wray, Robinson & Kracht from 1984 to 1989, then a partner with Wray & Kracht from 1989 to 1995 and Wray & Kracht, L.L.P. from 1995 to 1999. He was Programming Chairman for the Dean Henry George McMahon American Inns of Court Chapter in 1993 and 1994. Russ has conducted Public Bid Law and Construction Law workshops for the Louisiana Licensing Board for Contractors, the Consulting Engineers Council of Louisiana, Inc., Construction Specifications Institute and the Louisiana Associated General Contractors, Inc., including "Contractors in Jeopardy" at the 1998 LAGC Summer Conference, "Construction is Just a Roll of the Dice", LAGC Summer Conference in 1999, and "Swim With the Sharks", LAGC Summer Conference 2000. Russ has written articles for publication in Action News by LAGC, Inc., Constructing Louisiana and Construct!, an American Bar Association publication devoted to construction law.
